At lvl 20, is it all PvP & GvG thereout?
Hello, I'm new and was just checking out some of the posts I found about the lvl 20 cap, which I must say I'm all for the lvl 20 cap, I've played and wasted plenty of time on other mmorpgs and I'm not the hardcore gamer that I once was... too busy with real life. Anyways, I only have one question about it, don't really care too much about advancing my character beyond lvl 20 and wanting a higher lvl cap like most of the other posters, my deal is this once I hit lvl 20 will there be plenty of stuff (and by stuff I don't mean PvP or GvG) to keep me interested in playing for say... a year? Will there still be better armor and weapons out there or will what I have a lvl 20 be the best I'll ever get? Will there be a endless number of quests and places to adventure and more creatures to kill? PvP and GvG is cool every now and then, but if that is all there is, that'll get old as hell in like 2 days for me.
I love the lvl 20 cap cause I've been playing FFXI since the US release and I feel I've wasted more time on that game and got nowhere than with any other game ever. I hate lvl grinding and I hate sitting around for hours looking for a party and then once you finally get one, it is time for you to go to work or something. By the way, love the idea of having henchmen in GW. I pretty much like to solo or group with just a few ppl and not have to be forced to find a full 6 person party or die for not doing so. Since I like to solo, I figured I'd give WoW a try when it released... that lasted for like 2 months and I wasn't even hardcore playing. WoW is great for a solo gamer like myself except for the fact that you get to the max lvl way too fast and once you are there, you have nothing left to do but do stupid pointless raids. So, I quit and canceled my account. So, that is why I love the lvl 20 cap GW has but am concerned about whether or not there's enough content to keep me interested after reaching lvl 20. I love to explore, adventure, and I love story (which I'd like to point out that WoW has absolutely zero story). PvP is cool, but only every now and then, not 24/7 and only if it serves a purpose. If I just wanted to run around and fight other players, I got plenty of games on Xbox Live that I can do that with. |

When you become lvl 20, you will still have fun doing PvE and exploring along with GvG and PvP. No one can fully say how many missions/areas there will be for lvl 20s at release since beta doesn't have them all, but even in beta there is plenty to do.
Keep you entertained for a year? As long as you like the game, then definately. Keep in mind that about every 6 months they plan to release expansions/chapters. They are actually more than just expansions since the content in them is intended to about match that in the first release. In other words, it would be like releasing a whole new game that is already connected to the first one. Not to mention I'm sure updates will be added through streaming and what not, to keep the game fun and entertaining. But the main updates will come when the chapters are released.
